Come visit our Cactus House with fun desert-like displays surrounding an oasis all of its own... a watergarden with domestic and butterfly koi, a waterfall, and a tiny bridge that kids love. We offer an excellent selection of cacti and succulents year round, replenished monthly, from large specimens to tiny starter pots for creating your own dish gardens. We also carry the correct soil and grit topping needed for cacti, available in the Plant Shop. At Russell's you'll find the traditional favorites, such as Jades, Aloe, and barrel cactus, as well as unusual varieties including Epiphyllums and many rare Hoya species. In Russell's houseplant greenhouse, knowledgable staff can help you choose the appropriate plant to suit your needs. Bringing your Indoor Plants Outdoors A summer vacation outdoors can be good for your houseplants and will beautify your patio or yard. To accomplish this safely, take the following steps. Begining an overcast day when temperatures are consistently 50-55 degrees, bring your houseplants out for the day and bring them back in at night. Do this for a few weeks, being careful the sun doesn't scorch the fragile "winter leaves." This would also be a good time to start feeding your houseplants a well balanced fertilizer every 3-4 weeks. Mixed containers look fabulous on a deck or patio. We have a nice selection already put together and materials to create your own, Our greenhouse will not only provide you with year-round sunshine and clean air to boost your spirits, but we offer a never-ending supply of quality houseplants.
