CLIMBING ROSES

Climbing roses produce long canes which should be secured to an arbor, fence, trellis or obelisk. Available in a wide range or colors, heights and widths, they can be selected to provide a vertical accent and color throughout the season. Most are very hardy, repeat blooming and disease resistant.

DAVID AUSTIN ENGLISH ROSES

David Austin roses are bred for a combination of bushy form in the garden, disease resistance, repeat blooming and excellent fragrance. Blooms are old fashioned in appearance.

FLORIBUNDA ROSES

Generally colorful and compact, with clusters of small hybrid tea-like blooms (think florists' spray roses) in flushes throughout the season. Typically requires winter protection and regular maintenance.

GRANDIFLORA ROSES

Produce hybrid tea-like blooms in long stemmed clusters. These roses typically grow in a taller, upright form and will need winter protection and regular maintenance.

GROUNDCOVER ROSES

Short shrub roses that grow with a horizontal/spreading habit. Great along rock walls, on slopes and at the front of any garden. Groundcover roses generally offer good disease resistance and repeat blooming throughout the season.

HYBRID TEA ROSES

Largest and showiest flowers bloom individually on tall stems. Many offer great fragrance and some of the best flowers for cutting (think florists' long stem roses). Blooms typically repeat in flushes. These roses require higher levels of maintenance and winter protection.

HARDY SHRUB ROSES

Tough garden plants offer unparalleled color throughout a long season. Being own root (not grafted) very winter hardy and offering excellent disease resistance, this group is highly sustainable. Provide them adequate sun, water and a little pruning and they will be successful in the landscape for many years.

EASY ELEGANCE ROSES

Low maintenance, easy to grow shrub roses with a variety of colorful eye catching blooms. Offers excellent hardiness and disease resistance along with repeat blooms all season long!

KNOCK OUT ROSES

Low maintenance, easy to grow, disease resistant shrub roses. Knock Out Roses offer a very long season of color with repeat blooms and good winter hardiness.

OSO EASY ROSES

Cold hardy, easy care shrub roses with excellent disease resistance and continual blooming! Oso Easy roses are great for use in containers and as border plants as they feature a wide range of color choices and flower forms.

MINIATURE ROSES

Small shrub roses, typically growing no longer than 2ft tall and wide with small blooms. Rugged, own root plants that are excellent choices to brighten containers and patios.

RUGOSA ROSES

Robust, cold hardy roses that are tolerant of drought and salt once established. Feature large showy rose hips in fall. low maintenance.

NATIVE SPECIES ROSES

Native American Roses are hardy wild flowering shrubs that provide food and habitat for pollinators, birds and small mammals. They are relatively easy to grow. Their fruits or hips are tasty treats for wildlife and a source of antioxidants for humans.

TREE ROSES

A shrub rose is grafted onto a single tall stem. Tree roses (also sometimes called standards) are a great choice for containers or as a showy planted specimen. Tree roses will require more winter care, as the graft is sensitive to winter conditions. Prune and feed regularly throughout the season.
